Sammis First Energy Plant

This 850’ x 90’ desulfurization smoke stack was completed in less than four months. The project consisted of 17,000 cubic yards of continuous concrete placement which required constant monitoring and testing. Patriot provided staff to verify concrete properties prior to placement and cast ten-cylinder specimens every 100 cubic yards. The cylinders provided the necessary daily data to continue the placement while meeting the specifications for the job. Patriot provided this service with an onsite laboratory equipped with a compression machine.  Patriot was proud to hear from our client that we were “a huge asset in keeping the project moving forward with no delays.”
