TOYOTA MOTOR MANUFACTURING

Tupelo, Mississippi

Construction began in June, 2007 of an over 1 million square foot manufacturing plant. This included the moving of over 16 million cubic yards of soil, a 40 foot fill monitored with settlement plates and other numerous cut and fill areas. The plant was constructed on shallow foundations and spread footings with piers, also the columns were pre-cast, pre-tensioned concrete columns.

Our duties on this project included the observation, nuclear field density testing and proofrolling of the fill material, bearing capacity testing of all foundations, inspection of all pre-cast concrete columns and structural steel, concrete inspection of all concrete placed for foundations, grade walls, pit walls, elevated slabs and slab on grade, asphalt testing and inspections. Patriot also performed pre-cast plant and structural steel plant inspections.
