HUMAN RESOURCES CENTER OF EXCELLENCE

Fort Knox, Kentucky

The Human Resources Center of Excellence (HRCoE) was the largest construction project ever undertaken at Fort Knox. The six-building, 880,000 square foot complex brings together three commands relocated from other bases as a result of the Base Realignment and Closure program, becoming one Human Resources Command responsible for distributing paychecks to all Army personnel, the Army Accessions Command and Cadet Command. To meet its sustainability goals, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) required the new complex to achieve a LEED Silver sustainable design certification.

Patriot Engineering’s duties on this project included: soil compaction, footing inspections, concrete inspection, resteel inspections, structural steel, SFRM asphalt, and Non-destructive testing.
